IND vs WI: In Delhi, India chased down a modest target of 121 on the fifth day of the second Test, completing a 2-0 series victory over the West Indies. The win also marked India’s tenth straight home Test series win against the Caribbean side, with the West Indies last toppling India in a Test back in 2002.

India’s path to victory

The West Indies were bowled out for 390 in their second innings after aggregating 248 in the first. India declared their first innings for 518, with Yashasvi Jaiswal hitting 175 and Shubman Gill remaining not out on 129. In the West Indies’ second innings, John Campbell made 115 and Shai Hope 103 as India’s bowlers kept the pressure on. The target for India was 121, which the hosts chased with three wickets to spare. Shubman Gill and KL Rahul anchored the chase; Rahul finished unbeaten on 58 and Dhruv Jurel contributed an undefeated 6.

Dominant bowling shows

India’s bowlers dominated throughout the match. Kuldeep Yadav ended with a standout total of eight wickets across both innings and earned the Man of the Match award. Jasprit Bumrah claimed three wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj also played important roles with the ball.

A landmark series for India

This victory extends India’s long-standing hold over the West Indies at home, marking India’s 10th consecutive Test series win against them on home soil. The last time the West Indies won a Test against India was in 2002, and since then India has been the stronger side in Caribbean-facing series.
